The first time I photographed Kelli and Brad we were in an adorable little field near Cache Creek shooting their engagement photos. At the end of the session, she told him she was pregnant! Seven months later these two tied the knot ON Hi-Hium Lake. Yes… ON THE LAKE. All of the guests boarded little boats and were ushered out into the middle of the lake and anchored down at the ceremony site. The bride and her parents (as well as their adorable ring bearer) brought me with them on their boat and I got to witness the cutest little ceremony taking place on a barge, while floating around in front of it. Friggin’. Magic.
On our way back to the reception, we stopped and shot in the burned forests near Loon Lake and then continued on to the sweetest little outdoor back yard reception, where they did another small legal ceremony. Heart warming speeches, a choreographed dance by the bride and groom, and a cake cutting with lots, and lots of amazing cupcakes (i’m still thinking about them, honestly) followed.
This wedding was the PERFECT way to end my 2018 wedding season. Thanks Kelli and Brad! I wish you two the most amazing future!
